Todd Ianuzzi is a recurring character in Beavis and Butt-head. He is a violent hoodlum whom Beavis and Butt-head idolize.

Beavis and Butt-head look up to Todd and aspire to become part of his gang which consists of himself, his friend Slade, and his apparently part-time fair-weather trashy girlfriend, Gina, who attends Highland High with the duo. Todd, however, expresses only contempt for the two, assaulting them with little or no provocation and referring to them as "girls." A running joke is whenever Beavis and Butt-Head are interested in a woman, she runs off with him—even sometimes having immediate sex with him. Todd is not above taking advantage of Beavis and Butt-head when he needs money or a place to hide from the cops.

Todd drives a rather battered and well-worn primer-patched green Plymouth Duster recklessly, often onto lawns, through garbage cans, and usually over Beavis and Butt-head's bikes.

Toddthug butt licker hes an asshole

He usually gets away with his crimes, including assaulting the duo. However, there have been a few occasions, mainly in video games: in the Super Nintendo game, Beavis and Butt-head win a game of chicken against Todd and Earl and manage to have sent him to the hospital, while in Virtual Stupidity, he is smacked around and then crushed by a cow carcass during Butt-head's attempt to "save him" via a slaughterhouse processing machine. In the end, the duo even got him arrested after his enemy's body is discovered in the slaughterhouse.

Todd made his official return to the series in "Snitchers", with Huss reprising his role, this time with his real name.

Others[]

He is one of the few characters that doesn't appear in the movie Beavis and Butt-head Do America, though he does appear in Beavis and Butt-head Do The Universe, albeit in a fantasy.

Todd appears, and plays a big role, in Beavis and Butt-head Virtual Stupidity as the secondary antagonist. The duo, once again, want to join his gang, so they go out to find him. They eventually find him at a slaughterhouse, where Butt-head gets Todd into an accident with the processing machine after trying to "save" him from his enemy and ex-lackey, Leroy. He is taken back to the duo's house to recover, and orders them to retrieve his car from a farm and repaint it, so he can make a getaway, so they can join his gang.

He also appears in the Sega Genesis game, in various places, as a minor antagonist, using an oil can as a weapon.

Physical appearance[]

Todd wears a light blue mechanic's shirt with a name patch and the sleeves torn off, jeans and black boots. He has long blond hair and wears mirrored sunglasses; he has a tattoo on his left (sometimes right) bicep of a flaming skull wearing an eye-patch clutching a knife between its teeth with the script "Life Sucks."

Personality[]

Todd is violent, ruthless, cruel, mean, aggressive, and very petty, always bullying those around him who he considers weak, the duo being his main targets. He has no redeeming qualities whatsoever and is probably the most dangerous recurring antagonist for the duo, rivaling Coach Buzzcut (who has actually protected them on one occasion, while Todd never has).

In spite of his bullying nature, Todd manages to come across as charming, as he has picked up a few girls throughout the series, mainly girls that the duo have tried to "score" with in that episode. He has also had his rare moments of benevolence, like in "A Great Day", where he genuinely thanks the duo for giving him money and lets them go (though he does beat another man up after getting into a fender bender shortly afterwards), and in Virtual Stupidity, he lets the duo in his gang under the condition that they don't screw anything up. This, of course, doesn't last long.

Trivia[]

  • Even though Todd's last name was never mentioned in the series, it was revealed to be Ianuzzi in "This Book Sucks."
  • He was created after series writers Sam Johnson and Chris Marcil suggested the idea of a character that Beavis and Butt-head idolize, even though he beats them up and always rips them off in one way or another. Mike Judge revealed that he based Todd on a teenage bully that lived near him, whose family was somewhat troubled as well. The bully would ride his motorcycle on the Judge's front lawn and do burnouts, which terrified Mike as a kid.
  • In "Steamroller," he is said to have dropped out of Highland High School two years before (though he makes a brief appearance in Buzzcut's class in "Young, Gifted, & Crude," "They're Coming to Take Me Away, Huh Huh," and "Let's Clean it Up").
  • In issue 26 of the comics, it is heavily implied that Todd actually had sex with Butt-Head, while the latter was disguised as a school girl.
  • Although Todd doesn't make an appearance in Do America, the character of Muddy Grimes is similar to, and might be based on him. In addition, both characters are criminals who threaten the main characters, except Muddy is much more dangerous than Todd is as he actually tries to kill the duo.
  • In Do the Universe, Beavis has a dream sequence where Todd is decapitated by Serena Ryan after he pushes him down and he even cheers her on as she kills the rest of Todd's gang, implying that Beavis may not have as much love for Todd as Butt-head does after all, or he's finally fed up with all the abuse he gets from Todd and doesn't idolize him anymore.
