Beavis and Butt-head are in Principal McVicker's office with Mr. Van Driessen. McVicker tells them they're the worst students ever, but they can't expel them because of the No Child Left Behind Law, which would result in the government cutting off their public funding, and all teachers, including McVicker himself, would lose their jobs. Despite McVicker's objections, Mr. Van Driessen is hopeful about the boys' futures, believing they still have the potential to succeed in an upcoming exam. Van Driessen and the other teachers the boys prepare them for the test, but is proven hopeless when they don't catch on to any of what they taught them after hours and hours of reviewing. The next day is the test, but they have trouble on needing to write their names. Though they ask Van Driessen for help, their antics only come to attract McVicker, who screams at them to take the test properly. After a few hours and students are already at home from school, the boys claim to be finished with the tests. At first, McVicker is hopeful and goes over to see them, only to burst out and lose it when he sees they only wrote their names. Not wanting the idiots to ruin the school's future, he takes the test for them. Though Van Driessen does not approve of McVicker's actions and says that he will report this to the board, McVicker then fires Van Driessen, blaming him for the boys' stupidity. The following week, the duo are watching the News, where a reporter asks McVicker why he cheated on the test; he says it's their fault. While that happens, Beavis and Butt-head are having fun drawing with their number 2 pencils.
Though Van Driessen is fired for the threatening of reporting McVicker's subsequent behavior to cheat on the test for his pension money, it's positive that he did it anyway to a third source and even the School Board. Also the Teacher union was able to the get firing overruled
