Ms. Tress is a minor character in Beavis and Butt-Head. She works as a secretary at Highland High School. She is voiced by Tracy Grandstaff.
In "Scared Straight", Principal McVicker is contacted by the State Penitentiary to revive the scared straight program. Ms. Tress asks if McVicker needs the students' files, but the Principal instead requests the yearbook to pick out the students that he believes that will get into legal trouble (or at least that he believes "look like criminals"). Among the students he chose, McVicker picked Beavis and Butt-Head when Tress reminded him that they were the ones that flushed every roll of toilet paper in the entire school.
In "The Great Cornholio", after Beavis is let go from McVicker's office without punishment, Tress asks Beavis if he needs a hall pass to go back to class, but Beavis, after eating a large amount of candy, reverts to his alter-ego Cornholio and goes around the school hall again as she watches in confusion.
In "Beavis and Butt-Head Are Dead", when Principal McVicker is asked by Mr. Van Driessen about why Beavis and Butt-Head have not shown up for school, McVicker orders Tress to call their parents (which he isn't even sure they have) to find out. When Tress calls Beavis and Butt-Head's home, Beavis picks up the phone and answers to her "yeah, they're dead" before hanging up. Taking the news seriously, Tress passes what she was informed to Van Driessen and McVicker, with contrasting reactions.
Physical appearance[]
She is a fairly stout woman with short, grey curly hair (Brown in "Beavis and Butt-Head Are Dead") and a salmon shirt. She is also one of the few characters to have black bead eyes.
Personality[]
Although she doesn't appear much, being Principal McVicker's secretary, she informs him (Or vice versa) and aids him. She is also one of the very few teachers/staff in Highland High to not get angry with the idiotic duo, being cordial to them in every appearance.
Appearances[]
- Scared Straight
- Citizen Butt-Head
- The Great Cornholio
- P.T.A. (Mentioned)
- Breakdown (Voice only)
- Beavis and Butt-Head Are Dead
Trivia[]
- Her name is likely a pun on "mistress."
- It is unknown if she is still working at Highland High as of when the 2022 revival is set, but it is very likely that she either died or retired sometime between 1998 and 2022 seeing how most of the teachers and staff are not in the 2022 revival.
- She is one of the few characters to be exclusive to the original series run, not making appearances in either the 2011 or 2022 revivals.
- She has brown hair in Beavis and Butt-Head Are Dead. She likely dyed her hair.
