I'm Lolita, and this here's Tanqueray.—Lolita introducing herself and Tanqueray to Beavis and Butt-Head
Lolita and Tanqueray are a pair of recurring characters in Beavis and Butt-Head. They are best remembered for their recurring greeting: "I'm Lolita and this here's Tanqueray". As frequent objects of lust for Beavis and Butt-Head, Lolita and Tanqueray use their Southern feminine wiles to take advantage of the two, often offering to make out or go on dates.
They appear as a duo in the episodes "Tornado", "Date Bait", and "Teen Talk". Lolita was last seen sitting in the back of Mrs. Dickey's health class in "Just for Girls", while Tanqueray was last seen kissing a boy during the fire drill in "Wet Behind the Rears".
They were both voiced by Tracy Grandstaff, who also voiced Daria, Cassandra, and Mrs. Stevenson.
Physical appearances[]
Lolita[]
In "Date Bait", Lolita has long brown hair and wears a small heart necklace, an anklet, a dark yellow-orange tank top, a black skirt and black heels. In "Teen Talk", and "Just For Girls" she has black hair, a light blue/white tank top, a dark blue skirt and red heels. In "Tornado" she was African-American and wore a cropped yellow tank top, red shorts with a blue belt, and black heels.
Tanqueray[]
Tanqueray has long blonde hair and wears a small heart necklace, hoop earrings, a loose white tank top with an exposed black bra strap, blue jeans and black heels. In "Teen Talk", she sports a pink tank top and red heels. In "Tornado", she wears a cropped and tattered white t-shirt, denim shorts and brown sandals.
Personalities[]
Lolita and Tanqueray are known to be very promiscuous, as they can often been seen with several male characters from Todd and Slade to Dick Jackman's producers, one of whom was elderly. They are also shown to be very manipulative and apathetic, as they frequently take advantage of the duo purely for their own personal gain or out of sheer boredom.
Trivia[]
- Mike Judge has gone on record to detest their original designs from "Tornado" in the Taint of Greatness documentary.
- In "Teen Talk", Lolita alludes to being in a pornographic video, stating she wouldn't be on the segment if her Principal hadn't rented said video. While her age is left ambiguous, this very well could allude to McVicker being in possession of child pornography.
- Lolita's name implies their promiscuity, and Tanqueray is named after a brand of gin, which further highlights their Southern backgrounds.
