Beavis and Butt-Head
Butt-Scratcher 2000

"Beavis, say hello to the Butt-Scratcher 2000."

Butt-Scratcher 2000 is an "invention" made by Beavis and Butt-Head in "Inventors". It is made out of an unbent wire hanger. Its intended purpose is to "scratch" someone's butt; the duo were inspired by Tom Anderson using a back-scratcher, and decided to make a "scratcher" for the butt.

They try to sell it, but no one wants to buy it, since they all know it's just a wire hanger.

When they try to sell it to Tom Anderson (for the 2nd time), Anderson grabs the Butt-Scratcher 2000 and hits them with it, scaring the duo away.

It is unknown what happened to it after the episode, whether Anderson still has it or threw it away.

Trivia[]

  • Since the "butt-scratcher" is just an unbent wire hanger, it would've been dangerous to use for its "purpose".
  • The term "butt-scratcher" would later be used in a cutaway in FOX's Family Guy, in the episode "No Chris Left Behind", where protagonist Peter Griffin tries to sell actual butt-scratchers to a crowd. (The episode was about the No Child Left Behind act, which Beavis and Butt-Head would later tackle and make fun of in "School Test", and this episode premiered just under 10 years after "Inventors")
    • Several years after that episode aired, funnily enough, Beavis and Butt-Head themselves would appear in the episode "Peter and Lois' Wedding", where Peter is shown hanging out with them in one scene. The duo would also call Cale Dodds "the guy who makes Family Guy", due to his resemblance to Family Guy's creator Seth MacFarlane, during his video for "I Like Where This is Going" in "The Special One".
