Beekeepers is the 4th episode of Season 9 of Beavis and Butt-Head and the 226th episode overall.

Synopsis[]

After Beavis and Butt-Head see Mr. Van Driessen sell honey, the boys decide to become beekeepers to get rich quickly.

Plot[]

Beavis and Butt-Head are bored and head to a parking lot to break some bottles. To their dismay, a farmer's market is blocking it. The duo encounter Mr. Van Driessen who explains what goes on at the farmer's market. They are surprised when his female friend Ellen, helping him run the stand, sells some honey for $50. Van Driessen further explains to the duo that bees make honey, giving Butt-Head the idea to get some bees so he and Beavis can get rich off their honey.

They head to Tom Anderson's house where they recall seeing bees. Mr. Anderson warns them there is a wasp's nest on his property but they ignore him and head straight for the nest, not knowing wasps from bees. Beavis knocks the nest down with a rake and gets stung many times while Butt-head kicks the nest into a cardboard box.

Two hours later, the duo is at home, impatiently waiting for the "bees" to make honey. They doubt they have made any and start kicking the box around to teach them a lesson. Butt-Head tells Beavis to open the box and, despite some hesitation, he obeys. The wasps immediately attack Beavis again, causing him to fling the nest into the bathroom where Butt-Head mistakes some spilled shampoo for honey.

Beavis and Butt-Head return to the farmer's market trying to sell their "honey" (complete with dead "bees"), but Van Driessen tastes it and tells them it is shampoo and the duo have wasps which do not make honey. They return home, disappointed that they failed to get rich, but Beavis decides to use the shampoo. However, it turns out their box was mixed up with Van Driessen's, so they got his vegetables and he took home the box of wasps, which attack him and Ellen once he opens it.

Despite Butt-Head stating in Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe that their house was returned to its original state, this episode shows that the house's interior has changed, with a hallway beside the living room rather than just the front door. This could mean their house is now bigger, or this was mere art inconsistency, or they just wanted their living room back to how it was.
This episode reveals that Tom Anderson is still alive in the 2020s, implying that he is a healthy man, despite his issues and all the grief the duo have caused him over the years.
- Anderson has also appeared to have moved into a new house with two stories. Either that or his house has been renovated too.
This is one of the few times the duo consider hygiene, as Beavis wants to wash his hair near the end of the episode.
This is the first appearance of Van Driessen's house since "Inventors" back in Season 7.
This episode reveals that Beavis is an avid BTS fan, knowing all the names of the members and dancing along to their music.
