- June 2, 2022: Paramount+ released the first official trailer for Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe.
- June 5, 2022: The 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards aired on MTV; During the show, Snoop Dogg presented an exclusive preview of Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe showing the boys meeting intelligent versions of themselves from an alternate universe.
- June 23, 2022; June 24, 2022: After midnight E.T, in the hours leading up to the release of the movie, classic episodes Butt, Butt, Hike, Shopping Cart, Pierced, and Woodshop aired with music videos on Comedy Central.
- June 23, 2022 Shortly after the Comedy Central airings, the first batch of classic episodes was released on Paramount+, which included Cow Tipping, Citizens Arrest, Pierced, Woodshop, Garage Band, Butt, Butt, Hike, Shopping Cart, Werewolves of Highland, Crying, and Doomsday.
- June 23, 2022: At 3:00 a.m. Eastern Time, Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe was released on Paramount+.
- July 14, 2022: Paramount+ released Career Day, Take a Number, Ding-Dong-Ditch, Nothing Happening, Shortcuts, Special Delivery, Drinking Butt-ies, Leave It to Beavis, and Butt Flambé, and the official trailer/release date for Season 9.
- July 21, 2022: Mike Judge and moderator Paul Scheer appeared at a panel at Comic Con, where clips from The Special One and an episode whose title was not revealed were featured. Shortly afterwards, Viacom released the previews on YouTube and other social media.
- August 4, 2022: Season 9 premiered on Paramount+ and the next batch of episodes were released which were: Sporting Goods, Late Night with Butt-Head, Crisis Line, Stewart Moves Away, Head Lice, Cyber-Butt, and Follow Me.
